Dreamsinger Druid, 22-string lap harp

Dreamsinger Druid

This is a wire-strung, 22 string, lap harp, constructed to be what might be considered left-handed, but the maker says it's actually historically correct for right-handed folks and all the others are left-handed harps set on the right shoulder.  Once you play it, it makes sense, as the right hand doesn't have to reach under the neck to get at the strings.  Looks to be a mahogany body with maple/spruce soundboard.  For more information see Dreamsinger's site: http://www.dreamsingerharps.com/harps.html.  Scroll down to Druid model and the section on Materials.
Note that it has 1 piece of wire for every 2 strings (see Rear Sound hole pic below).  For the maker's reasons for doing so, see: http://dreamsingerharps.com/stringingunfinishedharp2.html

There are a few dings (see pillar pic below), but nothing major.  It's styled like the ancient Celtic harps and is really adorable with the Dreamsinger dragons cut out of the sound holes.  Lovely sound too.  The tuners are zither pins.  Also comes with an extra set of strings, a tuning wrench and a knock-down stand.  The Druid retails for  $499.95.

I am sorry to let it go, but I just haven't had the time to put into learning wire-strung and am in need of funds, so anything not earning it's keep has to go.  It's a cute, fairly inexpensive little harp, and while I'm not that familiar with what constitutes a great wire-strung sound (I play harps with nylon and fluorocarbon strings), it sounds lovely to me and has a good amount of volume.

Range: G (below middle C) to G

Levers: none (I don't think there are many, if any, wire-strung harps that have them)

Size: 27" tall and 11" wide at the base of the soundboard.

Weight: 7 lbs.

Included: Extra set of wire (brass?) strings, wood tuning key and knock-down stand.
